What has been your experience starting a new company (F92) during the COVID-19 pandemic?
I started remotely and was concerned that I would not feel like part of the team. However, F92 has done a great job welcoming me. Each department head met with me and explained how each department functions or how we may work together in the future. If there are questions, my colleagues are a Teams message or email away. Fusion92 has done a good job at making the transition as a new employee easy and seamless.

What’s the most challenging part of your role?
As the ringleader of the client/agency relationship, it can be challenging to continuously evolve the work and the client partnership, but it's also the most fulfilling part of the role. We have great clients and value the partnerships we've built with them!

Fusion does a great job of making sure that people feel balanced in their work and personal lives. We know when to buckle down, but we also know that focusing on your life outside of work is just as important. There is a work hard, play hard mentality among team members that everyone respects!

What was a pleasant surprise after starting at Fusion92?
I felt pleasantly surprised by the level of autonomy I have around recommendations and decisions, especially when it comes to trying new things. How does the office itself support and facilitate creativity?
Starting a new role amidst a global pandemic and completely remote is certainly something I’d never experienced before, but the Fusion team did an amazing job onboarding me (as well as every new hire facing the same circumstances) to ensure I knew everyone across every department and felt connected to my coworkers so I knew exactly who to reach out to in any instance. Now that the office is open again, I can’t wait to start taking advantage of all the creative resources available like breakout spaces for group ideation and our own in-house production studio, Studio440. I love that it’s available for personal use as well as client work—I think that speaks volumes about how this company sees and values creative thinking, both professional and personal.

What do you like most about the Fusion92 culture?
Culture is a big part of the Fusion92 team. We celebrate all the major holidays, but we also enjoy a handful of other seasonal events. Every holiday season, our staff pulls together and volunteers our time and energy working for several local causes ranging from hunger relief to clothing drives, and animal shelters. As part of our training and development program, the company brings in guest speakers throughout the year that celebrate our diversity, and the Future Series program focuses on informational talks hosted by thought leaders in a variety of disciplines. The summer BBQs - dubbed “Fire Up Fridays” - and the Halloween events are my personal favorites. The Management Team hosts Fire Up Fridays in our outdoor space, donning chef hats and grilling up great food - they even go the extra mile for us vegetarians/vegans! And I start preparing for Halloween in July - designing and creating handmade costumes that culminate in a “surprise” performance during the annual Halloween event.

How does Fusion92 support your growth as an employee and as an individual?
Outside of company-offered training and seminars like Future Series and Bits & Bites, F92 allows me to create my own development plan and focus on areas that interest me while supporting my career goals. What drew you to Fusion92 to begin with?
What really drew me in to Fusion92 was the work and the people. This has been a place that I can be myself and they applaud that, they help you build on your weaknesses while improving your strengths. In my career development I know exactly where I’m heading, and I am exactly where I want to be. Not to mention the benefits are amazing, paid healthcare for myself, the ability to work remote, and go back to the office if we want to. I am very grateful for my team, the leadership, and our HR.
