CHICAGO (Oct. 2, 2023) – Fusion92, a Chicago-based marketing transformation company with hubs in Chicago, Detroit, Austin and Denver, has named Marcello Fregulia as Chief Financial Officer. He will lead the firm’s financial strategy and management, reporting to Fusion92 CEO and Founder Matt Murphy and working alongside President Doug Dome.
Fregulia comes to Fusion92 after spending more than 25 years with advertising agencies, public relations firms and digital media/ad tech companies, all ranging in size from rapid growth VC and private equity-backed startups to highly mature international conglomerates. He is a hands-on, well-respected leader with extensive experience building sustainable and scalable infrastructures from scratch. He improves upon existing processes and procedures to streamline a company’s overall workflow, and creates strong team environments that foster career growth.

Fregulia joins Fusion92 after nearly 2 1/2 years at Wachsman, a Utah-based strategy and communications firm working with startups and later-stage actors across the blockchain, cryptocurrency, fintech and emerging technology sectors. He served as Global CFO, overseeing financials across international offices in Dublin, Singapore and New York.
Prior to Wachsman, Fregulia held the position of CFO, North America at Ketchum, where he directed all financial activities across the nine North American offices of the global communications consultancy. He also spent seven years as CFO, West Region at MRM/McCann, providing strategic leadership and directing all finance and business operations activities for the west region, which included 350 employees and $65 million in annual revenue. Three years into his time there, Fregulia was asked to take on CFO duties for Optaros (now MRM Commerce), an e-commerce solutions company acquired by MRM//McCann in 2014 with $20 million in revenue and more than 150 employees globally.
Fregulia is the latest executive hire for Fusion92 as it continues to experience significant growth, which includes the acquisition of six different firms since 2016, helping to broaden capabilities and enhance Fusion92’s fully integrated services across consulting, marketing and products.
